So the weekend went great but the problem with that is after 2 days of being semi normal I always have to pay a price. Sunday morning was the price. I was very low and on top of that have a cold again.
On Friday I picked up my new ride and a new fisheye lens for my camera and proceeded to click away after a couple of dives in the quarry. Saturday found us on the Comet and then the Luci for a few and the evening pumping many tanks as the Quebecers were coming fast and furious all day.
Sunday afternoon an old school chum of mine came to town so I met him at the hoogie house and let him take my ride down to the gas station as I rode his. At Timmy’s I seen a girl in distress with her car and she stripped down to her underwear as she fixed it.
Off for an evening of touring and then home to bed. This week I have to install my blu-ray player.
So in true fashion the drive by tune is Thick as thieves by Trooper.
I was down at the waterfront and took a few shots of kids feeding birds. It was interesting to see the interaction between the kids and the gulls, ducks and chickadees. I even got to see the new work place of the leprechaun and like the other boats he has nothing was moving.
So off to the races this weekend and dove lots, and rode lots and took pics lot. New dosage seem to be working at the moment but I’ve been here before. Sean seems to be getting his camera down now as well so stay tuned maybe he’ll do a blog or a flickr page.
The above picture is from the Seaducer while we were on the City of Sheyboygan an 18th century schooner near perfectly in tact, it looks like a few others in the area ready to rise and sail again, the drive by was easy today as the deck ape came to us for a visit.
Meet Crowlye the unlucky leprechaun he will be joining me randomly for some hijinx so stay tuned.
It was hot today and very hot. I spent the morning in the gym, and the afternoon on the bike with Sean taking pictures. I took this shot of 4 girls treading water in 45C water. They were at it for at least 15 mins talking just like young girls giggling away. The funny thing was I had just finished talking to Tim and he was sadden that he was no longer his little girls buddy. I told him that it wasn’t him but no teenage girl wants to hang and bang with the old man.
Tonight we dove and installed a mooring on a new to us find in the Amherst Island Graveyard. Cory and i descended on the wreck on scoured around the boiler and prop for a sturdy place for the mooring placement. I found it in the boiler it self similar to the Mapleglen mooring. We shot the bag then Sean and Vinnie lowered the new line. Installed in minutes flat Cory and I explored the wreck. This wreck is very large approximently 250 feet long and lots to see. I really needed this as my Dr increased my meds again and I had to go through the approval process at VA.
On Monday evening I ventured out tom my flickr group for an Ale or two. Amy a fellow camera dudette took this shot. Amy’s stuff is more artistic then the normal shooter and worth a gander. I am looking forward to her shots from Fri 13th in Dover tomorrow.
One of the things about being on a mental health break is that you meet others that are doing the same and find common ground. Tonight I was to go diving but that fell through so Sean and I instead of going to group went out on a picture safari. We went to the local conservation area and Sean finally started playing with his camera, he looked relaxed and content. I got off this shot and a few others on my flickr site. We then got a drink and did the drive by, where a hooker was spotted on princess street.
Woke up today expecting the worse to come and went to the gym. Did my 2 1/2 hour work out, sauna and came home and went back to bed. Then around 2 I decided to go for a bike ride and take a few shots with my new D80. Visited the Bike store and got a little sunburnt. This evening I spent it with the Kingston Flickr group and had a few ales.
I thought that it was going to be a hell of a day due to the missed dosage but all in all not to bad. During my bike ride I completed a drive by and saw the leprechaun working on the boat. So after finding, diving, videoing and posting about a new wreck site in Kingston. The Mafia contacted the boat captain to get the skinny and offer assistance with mooring and such. Funny how all of a sudden that the fun that we have is of interest. The moorings will go ahead by us and perhaps even a charter to the wreck tomorrow by Vinnie and the Belleville boys will be in order.
The picture is of one of the store boats from the dock, the boat is waiting for some new safety equipment before it’s needed for a summer of work.
For anyone that suffers chronic depression the last couple of days was hell, quite the low cycle and everyone that I was in contact with was in an arguementive mood. I just doesnt pay to get the fuck out of bed at times. But today I went to the store anyway and went on a dive with the gang. We decided to check out one of the hits we have gotten lately to see what was there. Turned out to be a scuttled steamer about 250 feet long and complete with boiler and prop still. So the day wasn’t that wasted until I returned home.
I didnt do my run today or take my meds so the whole day was a right off since around 3 and will take a day or two to straighten out. I keep forgetting that when this happens everyone suffers.
So I bought my and Polly new Camera’s yesterday but I had to take Dan to the airport in TO so I didnt get to play with it. This morning before heading to the gym for a 30km run I took this sht in the garden. I really like my big d100 but this smaller more automatic camera does the quite well on it’s own. Today I took over 60 shots and most of them came out very well and to my surprise a few keepers and I was just pointing and shooting. It was a long winter and with the MMD I rarely took the camera out and shot a pic or two. I still have shots from Florida in the fall on my pocket camera that I have to deal with. To finish the day off I took a dive on the munson in the later afternoon with Barry, Nancy, James and Chris and did more restoration work to the top deck. Then Big Harry and Annie came to town so back out for a night dive.
